I think we can’t go around measuring our goodness by what we don’t do, by what we deny ourselves, what we resist and who we exclude.
I think we’ve got to measure goodness by what we embrace, what we create and who we include.
“Between Austria and Italy, there is a section of the Alps called the Semmering. It is an impossibly steep, very high part of the mountains. They built a train track over these Alps to connect Vienna and Venice. They built these tracks before there was a train in existence that could make the trip. They built it because they knew someday the train would come.”

My facebook page ‘For the love of the Journey’ is very close to my heart. It is like a scrapbook, only online, where I collect pictures and some information about any and every place in the world. I am a great dreamer. I aspire to be an even greater traveler. Life is best lived in the company of love and great friends. People live in the past, present or future. I live in these images – strolling on the beaches, walking on the streets, dancing in the open meadows, living in a small cottage i call ‘travel home’, singing in the rain and breathing in the air of a new place.
All journeys and great travels begin in the mind. Then the image takes form. The form is the expression of what lies within. Expression creates experience. Experience builds memories. And memories live on.
Each place is a different life. A parallel one. On my deathbed, a question that I will definitely ask myself will be ‘How many places did you see?’ ‘How many lives have you lived?’
Many and lots is the answer I am hoping to give myself. 🙂
